Job Opportunity: Manager Finance
Engro Elengy Terminal, a leading energy company, is seeking an experienced Finance professional to join our team as a Manager Finance at our head office in Karachi. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our finance function and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
Job Summary:
The Manager Finance will be responsible for leading the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including annual and half-yearly accounts.
- Perform reconciliations, ageing analysis, and follow-up on clearance/write-off of old items.
2. Team Management:
- Supervise and lead a team of accounts staff to ensure timely processing and recording of financial transactions.
- Ensure proper custody of accounting records and supporting documents.
3. Policy Development:
- Assist in developing and implementing sound policies and procedures for accounting, financial, taxation, and payroll matters.
- Ensure compliance with prevalent accounting standards, management policies, legal, and professional requirements.
4. Strategic Planning:
- Develop and consolidate the company's expense budget and investment plan.
- Prepare cash flow projections and assist in the development of the yearly corporate plan.
5. Stakeholder Management:
- Arrange and support regular Board of Directors meetings.
- Provide support for analyzing and evaluating business opportunities and new projects.
- Liaise with customers regarding invoicing and receivables.
6. Risk Management:
- Analyze the company's results (actual and forecast) as part of the financial and operating review.
- Perform risk assessments and compile reports, including obtaining stakeholder closure.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance
- 7-8 years of experience as a finance lead/finance manager in a mid-sized organization
- Experience in managing a team of 5 or more
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations, and taxation laws
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
